School uniform cosplay shoes review

I never thought I'd write a review on shoes, but oh well...

I needed shoes for my Love Live! cosplay and after a long struggle finding ones in correct size and with a heel, these came up. The price was a little too much for me, since I could've purchased them from the seller's sister store for cheaper if they had my size (unfortunately the price went up so it makes no difference now).

Despite slow shipping and customs check (for which I paid nothing), the shoes arrived to me.
They are very lovely and they came in with feet pads, however... they are a wrong model.

I purchased the matte ones, but I received these. Glossy.
I was looking forward to matching WindiCos' shoes, which are matte, but I guess these will do. I have contacted the seller about this mistake anyway just so that he can be more careful next time.

They look really pretty when worn and are pretty comfortable despite being smaller than I thought they'd be. I purchased my size but it seems that I should've looked for a bigger number...

I'm not so sure my feet will survive in these shoes for a con, but  I can definitely use them for a photoshoot!
What is cosplay without a little pain?

Anyway, if you're looking to buy these, make sure you check the size twice and don't rush into buying something that is small or big on you like I did!

Love Live (school uniform) cosplay review

Love Live! has been one of my favorite things lately! I loved the anime, but I love the game and side stories even more. I love every single one of the characters and I wanted to cosplay all of them, however I cannot afford to cosplay 9 girls and all other planned cosplays I have for this year, so I decided to purchase their cosplay uniform and cosplay all of them (if possible)!

You can find the cosplay uniform here.
You can find the wig here (you can get 10% off if you use the coupon code "Mashetato")

I know it's not a website and that it's only an eBay store, but it costed 35$ and that's good enough for me!

I'm not fond of buying cosplays online for one reason only: bad quality fabric.
It doesn't matter if it's a store that specializes in cosplays or if it's taobao or eBay. The fabric is usually the same: cheap polyester aka uniform fabric. So, if I ever find a cheap costume I myself cannot make and that I can use for more than one character or more than one time, I buy it!

When it came to this cosplay, WindiCos and I searched all over the internet for cheap costume with decent feedback... we checked eBay, aliexpress, taobao and even more expensive stores that specialize in cosplay selling. We even checked the fabrics so we could make this ourselves and the best option ended up being eBay. It wasn't only the cheapest, but it was also the one with the best feedback and with accurate skirt design. Jacket color is a little off, but it's much easier to dye a jacket than to remake the skirt because the bottom line is dark blue and not light blue.

We purchased our cosplays and they arrived super fast.
Items included were: Coat+Skirt+Bow (no shirt)
And as expected, the fabric was the cheap polyester - funny how even the store with more expensive cosplay had it in same fabric as this one.

Bow lines are printed on fabric, however if you'd like a satin bow, I suggest you to order it here.

Buttons are made of plastic, but they look real pretty!

Skirt is made of thicker fabric than the jacket and the design is printed. There are little white-ish lines on some parts of the skirt from the folding but they arent very visible.

After trying this costume, I noticed that it's a little tight on the back, so I cannot move too much in it. The waist is not tight enough for my taste, but after checking my other blazers, this seems normal for uniform clothing. I do not advise you to order a size bigger or smaller than your own because it will feel too tight or too loose when you dress it up.

I made a few gifs to show you the costume!

(the skirt stretches and it doesn't lose the pleats, so if you're bigger, don't worry about the skirt size! Make sure the blazer fits you and I'm sure the skirt will too! Or, you know... contact the store for help with the waist size?)

Overall, I'm satisfied with this costume! It was cheap and I couldn't have asked for something better for that price.

Central Comics Fest 2015: GANGSTA. & Zankyou no Terror photoshoots

I am using this blog to drop down the best of our photoshoot photos! I've also decided that I could talk about some cons I attend as well!

Last year we had a mini cosplay convention where I got to cosplay with the amazing Usachan! We had planned our Zankyou no Terror photoshoot for a while and it was awesome that we could do it at this con!

Details...!

We got to photoshoot with Eiki and Tiago Vasconcelos!
The photos came our so pretty and we even tried recreating some of the fanarts!

I also got to cosplay with Lop, Eiki and Filipa again!
We managed to gather the whole GANGSTA. group like a week before the con and we got these amazing photos thanks to Sid and Akbal!

I have to admit that cosplaying Worick was a little weird for me, since I was the shortest of them all, but in the end I think that the photos came out real well and we should definitely cosplay this again someday!

This con was incredibly fun and I'm really happy to have all these amazing people in my life.

REVIEW: UNIQSO's Nozomi Tojo Wig & I-Codi Colors Of The Wind No 22 Party Green

Some time ago I have decided to cosplay Love Live! and I chose to be my favorite girl: Nozomi Tojo!
I got the wig and lenses for her from UNIQSO. I have already posted reviews on both wig and lenses on my facebook page, but I've decided to post another review over here. I thought it'd be better to post reviews on the items after I use them a few times.

The wig I purchased is the Nozomi Tojo cosplay wig

Processing Time: 3-4 working days
Type: 100% heat resistant fibre
Wig Color: Purple & Black
Wig Length: 100cm

I have not had a 100cm long wig in a while and I was scared about what I'd get. Long wigs tend to tangle so much and are very hard to fix.

I wore the wig for a photoshoot with WindiCos. It was not as bothersome as I thought it would be. The wig was pretty light on my head, however it did get slightly tangled as I moved, so I had to brush it with my fingers or with a brush to set it down.
It wasn't hard, since the wig detangles pretty easily!

The color looks really pretty on the photos and I'm really happy with this wig. I'm not sure if the wig is ideal to be worn to a con because it's so long, but if you have a brush in your bag, comb it once every couple of hours or when you think it's getting tangled and you'll be fine!

The lenses I got for Nozomi are I-Codi Colors Of The Wind No 22 Party Green

Base Curve: 8.6mm
Color Tones: 2 Tones
Diameter: 15mm
Processing Time: 2-3 working days
Remarks: Free 1 normal lens case (medium)
Replacement Period: 12 months
Water Content: 38%

The lenses were suggested to me by the lovely Anzujaamu who sent me some of her photos so I could see how would the lenses look on my eyes and I couldn't be happier with them!

The lenses are a perfect color for Nozomi as her eyes are aqua green color!
Also, good thing about these lenses is that I could wear them for quite some time without feeling my eyes hurt or itchy. Usually my eyes get tired of lenses within an hour or so... This time I was able to wear the lenses for longer!
